When connection feels out of reach
You may be managing careers, parenting and the practical demands of life together, yet finding it harder to feel close.
Perhaps conversations have become mostly about arrangements. The same disagreement keeps returning, or you avoid difficult subjects because you already know how the conversation will end. You can care deeply about each other and still feel lonely in your relationship.
Couples therapy offers time to understand what is happening between you - and space for conversations that are difficult to have at home.

Take each other seriously. Challenge what keeps you stuck.
Your experience matters and so does your partner’s. Neither cancels the other out and neither means that every assumption, accusation or reaction is beyond question.
In couples therapy, we examine the moments where conversations morph into conflict or distance: the meanings attached to a comment, the conclusions drawn about a partner’s intentions, and what happens next.
We look closely at the cycles that keep repeating, including the ways some defences can contribute towards damaging the relationship. We explore how understanding where a response comes from does not remove accountability for its impact.
The work asks something of each of you: curiosity about your own part in the pattern, a willingness to question familiar conclusions, and the courage to respond differently.

Beyond the same argument
You may know the argument almost word for word. One pushes for an answer; the other withdraws. An attempt to explain becomes a defence. Yesterday’s frustration brings years of resentment into the room.
Together, we slow these exchanges down and examine what drives them. We distinguish what happened from what each of you understood it to mean, explore what remains unresolved, and challenge the responses that keep the conflict going.
The aim is to help you address difficult things with greater honesty, understand each other more accurately, and rebuild connection through changes in how you relate.
